The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has ordered commercial banks across the country to receive and dispense old naira notes of N200, N500 and N1000 denominations, and they remain legal tender.
A statement by the acting Director, CBN Corporate Communications, Isa AbdulMumin, says the apex bank gave the directive at a Bankers’ Committee meeting held on Sunday, March 12.
Citizens can now withdraw cash from various banks to go about their daily activities, the authorization is expected to take effect henceforth
