Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State and a member of the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council, has said he does not believe President Muhammadu Buhari can work against the presidential ambitions of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC).
El-Rufai is putting the blame squarely at the inner circle of people around Buhari who he blames for the recent policy decisions that the Tinubu Campaign Team have attacked.
He said this in an interview published by the Premium Times on Sunday.
El-Rufai is quoted:
“I believe in Buhari. I still do and I will never stop believing in him. But I no longer believe in the circle around him and the quality of decisions and actions coming out of that leadership,”
Recall that El-Rufai had earlier said that elements in the Presidency were working at making the Tinubu Presidential Campaign a failure because their preferred candidates did not materialize as the holder of the APC presidential ticket.
Nasir El-Rufai had pointed at the naira redesign as one of such policies implemented to frustrate the Bola Tinubu presidential ambition.
