Seun Kuti, Nigerian musician and the youngest son of Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti, has come out to reveal how foolish and gullible he was to have engaged in Yoruba politics, when he campaigned for Tinubu to become governor of Lagos state in 1999.
He stated that his reason was because of Tinubu’s affiliation with his late father, Fela Kuti, but over the years, he has grown to research more and improve in his ‘Political consciousness’. Seun said his research has led to the conclusion that all Nigerian politicians are liars and selfish.
The Afrobeat singer further admonished Nigerians to subdue the “messiah syndome” in the coming elections starting from the senatorial to the presidential level.
Seun Kuti has been criticized recently for making arguments against one of the popular presidential candidates.
