The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), on Monday, April 24, rescued and arrested an accident victim who was in possession of 100 pieces of used baby diapers and a large sum of money in the Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos State.
The accident victim suspected to be a ritualist was involved in an accident that occurred at Moshalashi Roundabout, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos.
One of the victims involved in the accident died on the way to the hospital, while others had scores of injuries.
LASTMA disclosed this in a statement signed by its Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, Adebayo Taofiq.
Abebayo stated that the passenger found with used diapers has been handed over to the police for further investigations.
While it is unclear why the arrested individual has that number of used baby diapers in his possession, there has been reports of people using used diapers and menstrual pads for money making rituals in the country.
