Obidients want Tinubu Government to fail – Bayo Onanuga

Bayo-Onanuga

Bayo Onanuga, the media spokesman of President Bola Tinubu, has alleged that “Obidients”, want the Tinubu government to fail.

Onanuga also claimed that Obidients were happy when the Nigerian currency, Naira crashed against the US Dollar.

The allegations were made over the weekend during a podcast interview with Channels TV Politics Today anchor, Seun Okinbaloye.

Obidients are a voting bloc strongly aligned with Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 elections.

The Obidients have strongly argued that the elections were stolen from Peter Obi by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in favor of Bola Tinubu.

This argument seems to infuriate Onanuga, as he claimed that up till now some people were still putting up write ups that Bola Tinubu stole the presidential elections.

Here is an excerpt from the interview:

“Up till now, some are still writing that Bola Tinubu stole the presidency, and some people are saying that the man who came third actually won the election, and they are very unapologetic about that.

How could somebody who came third how could he have won that election? You can even see when they were talking about the naira, some people were just happy that the naira was going downhill, and you can trace them, people who are saying so are members of the Obidient movement,”

Onanuga, who is a veteran journalist was one of the active actors singled out for actively promoting ethnic disharmony during the 2023 elections.
