Chinyere Igwe, the lawmaker representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2 in the House of Representatives, has been arrested along with $498,100 cash by the police in Rivers State.
The Punch is reporting that the State Police Command spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko gave the information to pressmen. She said Igwe was arrested by operatives deployed to the Independent Electoral Commission office along Aba Road in Port Harcourt.
Also found with the lawmaker was a list of recipients for the cash
Chinyere Igwe is a prominent supporter of the Atiku Campaign Organization and also the owner of Wish FM 99.5 and Atlantic Television Network , which was attacked with explosives by unknown assailants, a few days ago.
