The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State and its governorship candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran popularly known as Jandor, have asked the election tribunal to disqualify Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress(APC), for allegedly submitting fake GCE results to INEC.

The petition explained that the statement of result issued by Ijebu Ife Community Grammar School, Ijebu-Ife for May/June 1981 GCE O’Level examination with examination number 17624/118, which Sanwo-Olu submitted for his first term election as governor of the state was not confirmed by WAEC.

The petition further added that when West African Examinations Council (WAEC) was approached for confirmation, the body directed a scratch card to be purchased to access the results. This was done and the results could not be confirmed as originating from WAEC.

Also, PDP and Mr Adediran wants the disqualification of the All Progressives Congress and the Labour Party candidates in the governorship election for non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2022.

The governorship election in 2023 was called out for the incumbent, Babajide Sanwo-Olu despite the allegations of voter intimidation, violence and fraud associated with the polls.
