Junior Pope, a veteran Nollywood actor drowned during a shoot and has been confirmed dead on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
The actor, 39, was said to have been on a movie shoot following a post he made on social media saying “The risk we take to entertain you; crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket”
Junior Pope also made a video of himself on the boat making a call and mentioning that he had three sons. The hearts of Nigerians are broken, as this is yet another loss to Nigerian entertainment Industry following the recent death of veteran, John Okafor.
Junior Pope was confirmed to have died with others in Delta State.
Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president, Emeka Rollas, confirmed his death to BBC News.
The entertainment industry has suffered a fatal blow from this incident and so has his family as he left behind his three sons and his wife.
