Two goals in the second half from Rodrygo sealed Chelsea’s fate in Europe. Chelsea lost by same score in Madrid. They lost 0-4 on aggregate to the reigning European champions.
The loss just defined the season for Chelsea, a complete disaster.
This is the season they spent so much on new players all to no avail.
Everything seemed to go wrong for Chelsea this season. It is hard not to feel sorry for them. At times they played some really good football but just cannot score goals.
Chelsea now finds themselves 14th in the bottom half of the Premier League
They sacked Graham Potter but this still did not help. Care taker coach, Frank Lampard, just presided over four consecutive losses.
Who will save Chelsea as they really have nothing to play for again this season.
They need to start preparing for next season. The team need to get a solid experienced coach to manage the team. Chelsea also need to get a proven goal poacher to help this team score goals.
The Chelsea we know are goal getters. They just need to get their acts together for next season.
Osimhen Scores But Napoli Crash Out 1-2 to AC Milan
In other sporting news, Napoli also crashed out of the Champions league after playing a 1-1 draw against AC Milan at Napoli. French striker, Olivier Giroud scored for Milan after getting a pass from winger Raphael Leao who ran almost the entire pitch before passing the ball to Giroud to slot in.
