Manchester United had a dramatic win over arch rivals, Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The pulsating game which produced sparks had seen Manchester United taking the lead with an early goal by Scott McTominay to make it 1-0 for the host team

That strike seemed to motivate Liverpool as goals from midfielder Alexis MacAllister and Mohammed Salah had put them ahead in the testy encounter.

Brazilian winger, Antony had equalized for the home team very late in the 87th minute to send the game into extra time.

Another goal from Liverpool’s Elliot meant Manchester United had to try and come back once again.

Marcus Rashford levelled things again for the home team before the unlikely hero, 21-year-old Amad Diallo struck at the far corner of the Liverpool goal to make it 4-3 in favor of Manchester United. The Ivorian youngster calmly struck the ball with his trademark left foot and it sailed into the far corner of the net.

This was a back breaking goal as it happened in the 120th minute of the game and sealed the win for Manchester United who will now face Championship side, Coventry City in the Semi-Finals

In an earlier tie, Chelsea beat Championship leaders, Leicester City 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Goals from Mark Cucurella, Cole Palmer, Carney Chukwuemeka and Noni Madueke made sure the blues were going to the FA Cup Semi-Finals.

Striker Raheem Sterling had a game to forget as he missed a penalty and several glaring chances. He just could not get anything done right in front of goal and he could hardly complain when he was substituted by Noni Madueke.

It was not a smooth game for Chelsea as their initial two goal lead was cancelled by Leicester.

Chelsea got a lease of life when striker played a tricky ball to beat the Leicester defence who then fouled him right before entering the penalty area.

That infringement led to the sending off of Callum Doyle of Leicester. The extra man advantage paid off for Chelsea as they scored more two goals to seal the victory
