Daniel Bwala, a spokesman of Atiku Abubakar has revealed today that the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike will be the next minister to face protests from workers.

Recall that earlier this week, civil servants in the Federal Ministry of Works protested against the Works Minister, David Umahi for locking them out of their offices.

Umahi had ordered the gates of their offices to be locked after the workers had turned up late for the work.

That action triggered the protest against the minister, with the workers leveling series of allegations against him.

Bwala made a post on Twitter (X) claiming that Nyesom Wike, who is a former Governor of Rivers State, will be next to face similar protest.

He insinuated on the dictatorial tendencies of Wike and other Governors and says that was the reason they advised President Bola Tinubu against advising ex-governors as ministers.

Wike who is a member of the PDP had worked against the candidate of his own party, Atiku Abubakar, to ensure the emergence of Bola Tinubu of the rival All Progressives Congress (APC), as president in the February 2023 polls. Wike had alleged that Atiku had reneged on their agreement, after both contested the presidential primaries of the PDP.

Here is the post by Bwala:

The minister of works must have learned these from the workers union;

1. Dictatorial Governors are the problem of Nigeria

2. There are rules and regulation which governs governance, not whims and caprices

3. You may dominate a tribe, you cannot dominate all tribes

4. There is a big difference between states and the federation

5. Nigerians are getting fed up with nonsensical behaviors

6. Even civilians when they are in power long enough behave like military

The next (ex-governor) minister to encounter protest and resistance is FCT minister. That’s why we advised PBAT not to appoint ex-governors as ministers
