The body of Christian Atsu, the former Chelsea and Newcastle United player has been found in the earthquake rubble in Turkey.
Atsu who had been missing since the earthquake struck Turkey and Northern Syria , 12 days ago, has now been confirmed dead by one of his agents, Murat Uzunmehmet.
Murat confirmed that Atsu’s body was discovered under the rubble and his phone was also recovered.
A second agent of Atsu, Nana Sechere also confirmed the death of Atsu.
Atsu previously played for Porto in Portugal, Chelsea, Newcastle, Bournmouth, Everton in England and Hatayspor in Turkey.
He is survived by his wife Marie-Claire Rupio Atsu and three kids.
