Super Eagles of Nigeria Beat Ghana Black Stars 2-1 in International Friendly

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, beat the Ghana Black Stars 2-1 in an international friendly match on Friday at Marrakech, Morocco.

Nigeria, under the direction of interim head coach, Finidi George, took the game to the Ghanaians right from the kick off.

This game marked the return of Nigeria and Leicester City Midfield strong man, Wilfred Ndidi to the Super Eagles, after missing the AFCON 2024 tournament to injuries.

Cyril Dessers opened scores for the Super Eagles with a well taken penalty in the 39th minute of the first half.

Scores remained 1-0 in favor of Nigeria at half time.

The Black Stars came strong in the game at the beginning of the first half and the confined the Nigerians to their own half of the field.

African Nations Cup 2024 hero, Ademola Lookman made the scores 2-0 in favor of Nigeria late in the game.

Ghana got one goal back in the 90th minute, via a penalty following an infringement by Bright Osayi in the Nigerian box

Crystal Palace Midfielder, Jordan Ayew sent the Nigerian goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali in the wrong way and slotted the ball in the net.

First win for interim coach, Finidi, who is currently in the running for the vacant head coach spot of the Super Eagles.

Next, another friendly against Mali on Tuesday, March 26th.
