Governors Wife, Rashida at large
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) said it has arraigned the Wife of Kogi State Governor, Rashida, and Ali Bello described as a nephew to the governor for fraud.
The spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren released the statement on Wednesday said they were arraigned with three other persons on an 18 count charge for criminal misappropriation and money laundering up to N3 billion in an Abuja Court. The offences were said to have been committed in Abuja.
What makes this more interesting is that Rashida Bello, the wife of the Kogi State Governor is said to be at large!
The charge includes conspiracy to tetain proceeds of unlawful activity to the sume of N3,081,804,654.00 (Three Billion, Eighty One Million, Eight Hundred and Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Fifty Four Naira) and allegations involving the transfer of $570,330 (Five Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Three Hundred and Thirty United States Dollars) to account number no; 426-6644272 domiciled in TD Bank, United States of America.
