Former Governor of Abia state and senator representing Abia North in the National Assembly, Orji Uzor Kalu has lamented over the Naira scarcity prevalent in the country. He revealed that he and his family are suffering over their inability to have access to cash.
Kalu made this known during a program on Channels Television on Monday, February 20.
According to his claims, his family members are starving and can no longer cook due to the Naira redesign policy that led to cash scarcity.
He said he was suffering from the policy. He recounted how his house manager told his wife there was no money in his house to cook considering they feed over 250 people everyday in his house.
Orju Uzor Kalu is currently facing corruption charges in court filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
